Nejam was a young and healthy ordinary man living in Syria, as he describes himself. His life was going well with no complaint, then one unfortunate day in June of 2017, he was the victim of an air attack that caused an injury so severe that one of his legs had to be amputated.

He was unable to move freely, work or live his life to the fullest. Life began to feel desperate and destitute. In 2018, he was introduced to and taken to the NSPPL center in Reyhanli where he was provided the best possible care and full rehabilitation by the end of 2020. Nejam was fitted with a leg prosthesis and loved that he was able to find fulfillment enjoy life more richly again.

It was Nejam’s strong spirit that got him through this and inspired us all. After his complete treatment and rehabilitation he spoke with us, ” I accepted the injury and the loss of my leg because as my fate. Although it is still difficult to live without a limb after this treatment, I finally got my life back. I can work, I can travel, I am able to do whatever I want once again. I want to thank everyone here at NSPPL for being so helpful and friendly with me and for the care I receive”

He now runs his own business along with his family in Kirkhan, Turkey. He is blessed with an independent working life here in Turkey after such hardships some help, care and support can go a long way. We thank everyone who has helped Nejam and more than 6100 others we have cared for so far.

With your continued support we hope to care for many others who are integral to our society. And, support the NSSPL staff who tireless give of themselves.
